Biography:

Dr. Bindis is an associate professor in the School of Education. He is a Program Director for Adolescent/Young Adult (AYA) and Middle Childhood Education (MCE) licensure at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and Multi-Age Music Education and Art Education licensure at the graduate level.


He earned a PhD in Chemistry Education from Miami University. Previously, he earned a Master of Arts in Education from Baldwin-Wallace University with a concentration in Educational Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Union.


His research interests are in improving education for preservice teachers and in science education, especially in encouraging all people to become interested in science as a career. His work has been presented at conferences at the state, regional, and national levels. Recently, Dr. Bindis became a member of the Preservice Teacher Committee of the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA), which provides programming and support at NSTA national conferences for future science educators at all grade levels.
