Biography:
Dr. Bollen is a professor Emerita of Art in the Department of Art, Fine Art and Art Education and a consultant of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»’s Art Education program. She has been teaching art since 1968 and has been a Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³» faculty member since 1977.
Dr. Bollen has a lengthy exhibition record of her dyed/printed/painted fabric at the local, state and national levels. Her research interest is in the history of women artists, and she has received many awards, including the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»’s Distinguished Teaching Award, the Alumni Faculty Appreciation Award, the Outstanding Ohio Art Educator, the NAEA’s Outstanding Higher Education Art Educator: Western Region, the 2004 Ohio Designer Craftsmen’s Ruhlin Memorial Award for Excellence in Fiber, and the 2005 Micah Fund Award.
