Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» St. Joseph Athletics and the entire Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Community is mourning the loss of one of the matriarchs of athletics at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³».
We are saddened to announce the passing of a charter member of the MSJ Athletic Hall of Fame Pat Shibinski.
A trailblazer in the world of women in athletics, Shibinski served Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» St. Joseph and its students for 42 years in various roles as both faculty and a coach. During that time she coached field hockey, basketball and volleyball while also serving as the chair of the physical education department.
Pat was a lifelong educator and advocate of sports, especially women in sports. During her more than four decades at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» she influenced generations of future coaches and educators who continue to carry on her legacy.
Visitation will be held at Brater-Winter Funeral Home (138 Monitor Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45233) from 4-6pm on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
Pat's Funeral Mass will be held in the Mater Dei Chapel on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11 a.m.
